On Wednesday 22nd November Minister Simon Harris, Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science spoke at the European Commission Representation in Ireland office in Dublin to mark the halfway point in this #europeanyearofskills.
This was followed by a panel discussion about skills in Ireland and across Europe. Paul Healy, Chief Executive of Skillnet Ireland, highlighted the perspective of Irish businesses on the current skills trends and challenges that they face.
Also speaking on the panel were Ivailo Kalfin Executive Director Eurofound, Tony Fitzpatrick, Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), Emma Kinsella, Skills Policy Unit, Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and Meadhbh Costello, Ibec.
